final reflection...

    1. What I like about blogging?

The advantages of blogs that I can see are we can share knowledge within organization and with the outside world. Besides, blogs can be a positive way of getting feedback regarding one particular thing that we post or discuss in our blog

    2. What I do not like about blogging?
Well, I need diligently update the blog every week.

    3. What have I gained from blogging?
Blogging have improved my writing skills. It is also a place to develop my critical thinking. Every time to write reflection, I need to think and reflect on the things happened.

    4. What I like about the course?

This course had taught me variety of  skills such as photo editing, video editing, audio editing and also converting file format for example from FLV to AVI. A part from that, I also learnt and gave me some ideas on how to develop teaching resources using technology.

    5. What I do not like about the course?
This course require me to spend lot of the time to learn and explore the skills that be taught.

6.What I have learnt from the course?
Producing different kind of teaching aids/resources to be used in the classroom.

    7. What I do not expect but have learnt from the course?
    Audio editing.

    8. What i expect but have not learnt from the course?
     Develop
Non technology resources such as new paper cutting

    9. If i can change anything about the course, state what it is and explain.
In my opinion, this course should balance between the exploration of technology resources and non-technology resources. From my observation, this course lack in developing non-technology resources. Personally, as teacher we need both skills-developing technology and non technology resources so that the teacher can become more creative in manipulating resources to be used in the classroom.

13th class reflection...

The thirteenth class explores on children educational software…So, what exactly children educational software is? Educational software is designed to increase children's knowledge while creating a positive experience that encourages them to learn. Educational software programs are ones that produce results and can show improvement in a child’s academic ability. For educational software to work it doesn’t need to be 'games based'. It does however, need to be rewarding. The best way to achieve this is by positive recognition of what the user has done, positive comments and remarks.

In my opinion, educational software can help children in learning because it provides an interactive experience that children enjoy. Moreover, it matches the level of challenge to the capability of the individual learner (pupils proficiency). Thus, the use of educational software in the classroom is one of the best approaches to create an interesting and enjoyable moment in teaching and learning.

11th class reflection

The eleventh class was about presentation. We were asked to present the notes given by the lecturer so that everyone can share the knowledge about one particular topic. It was good to have presentation and this presentation ware carried out by students themselves so that they can understand better the topic. There was a Q and A session at the end of presentation and here students can interact with each other thus creating an interactive classroom atmosphere. The presentations helped me in adding new knowledge, fundamentally about how to exploit and find the sources of appropriate material in spite of the authenticity, originality and adaptability of the material.

10th class reflection

Microsoft Office Publisher (previously and commonly known as Microsoft Publisher) is adesktop publishing application from Microsoft. It is an entry-level desktop publishing application, differing from Microsoft Word in that the emphasis is placed on page layout and design rather than text composition and proofing. Microsoft Publisher 2007 provides simple story editing with Microsoft Word 2007, but unlike Adobe InDesign & Adobe InCopy, it does not provide built in XML story board and copy-editing support. Also, unlike the core Office 2007 applications, it does not feature the Ribbon user interface. (Wikipedia.com)

The tenth class explored the use of Microsoft Publisher application. The task was (in pairs) we need to create business card and pamphlet and in group work we need to create a newsletter…Well, frankly speaking, I don’t have any knowledge about Microsoft Publisher. I thought that this software is for those who are in business or printing field…After my lecturer explained the use of Microsoft Publisher and I also explored it by myself, now I realized that Publisher is also can be used to produce new teaching aids like brochures or pamphlet.

Here are some useful links on Microsoft Publisher tutorial. Happy exploring!!!

8th week class reflection

Wake up!!!!! Another task to be done… On 8th class, we were given task which was Devising Resources for Teaching the Four Language Skills. This task required us to form a group of four people and develop materials that we want to use in the classroom. Alhamdulillah, I was not having major problem during completing this task. Thank you to my friends because of the ideas they gave to me for constructing an interesting listening activity. After completing this task, I’m realized that, as teacher we need fresh and creative ideas in order to produce an interesting activity. Thus, in order to be creative, I need to read book as many as I can and explore the good internet site so that I have knowledge and some ideas on interesting task to be done in the classroom. Besides, the knowledge in the soft kills such as downloading, editing and recording are very crucial to me as teacher to be so that I can manipulate any recourses that available to be used in the classroom in teaching and learning process.

Here's a few articles that i think are good to be share particularly about teaching four skills in English.
